Susan Renee Richardson is a poet, writer, drummer, artist, and alumna of Goddard College where she studied poetry as an undergraduate and earned a Master of Arts in psychology and counseling.
Writing and rhythm have been two of Susan's passions since her first fledgling poems and dance performances. Over the years, Susan has gained theater, dance, choral, and band experience. In 2008, Susan began studying the drums with Shawn Boissonneault and discovered an affinity for alternative rock, funk, and reggae fusion.
Susan’s poetry and writing have appeared in The Saturday Evening Post, Maine Women Magazine, skirt! Magazine, Foliate Oak, Third Wednesday, Calyx, Maine Bar Journal, Rediscover New Hampshire, In Newsweekly, Cape Ann Weekly, The Weekly Sentinel, The Portsmouth Herald, York County Coast Star, and The York Weekly. In 2012, Susan was one of Foliate Oak's nominees for the Best of the Net Anthology for her poem entitled "List of Things I'd Never Say."
Most recently, Susan has begun developing her interest in art and design with handmade jewelry available through Scorpio Rising Design.
